House Plant Care
Every one of our plants comes with care instructions for specific amount of water and frequency.
At Tierra Sol Studio, we create happy and minimal hand made ceramics, hand grow plants, and hand mixed soils—for plant killers who are plant lovers.
We use years of research and experimentation to take the work out of plant care. We only grow the hardiest and most low maintenance plants in our greenhouse that we designed to acclimate plants to indoor light, hand make absorbent planters to prevent overwatering, and hand mix soils to allow for oxygen to reach roots.
Each plant type we grow is tested for at least one year in a variety of indoor environments before it is released so that we can provide specific and tested instructions for light and watering.
Light: Bright to medium indirect light. Our houseplants are grown in our greenhouse built to adapt plants to lower indoor light.
Water: Keep slightly moist but not wet. Do not let dry out between watering. In winter top inch can dry out before watering.
Temperature: Calthea plants are happy warmer and away from cold drafts.
Light: Low to bright filtered light. More light creates more variegation.
Water: Pothos are extremely hardy and can do well even if neglected or over watered. Moisten soil once per week.
Temperature: Pothos do well in most environments.
Light: Low to medium filtered light.
Water: Water until soil is moist but not wet. Allow soil to dry between watering.
Temperature: Rubber plants do well in most environments.
